Portrait Photographer, Campbell Family, Lynchburg, VA

It seemed like just yesterday I was taking photos of Nicole during her last trimester of pregnancy. Now a year later, I had the privilege of capturing their entire family as her son Gaines celebrates his first year. A whirlwind year for them as they have watched their little man rapidly grow, and as their love for him and each other have grown to expand with it.

Ryan and Nicole, thank you for allowing me this opportunity, supporting in some of my own dreams and goals through this shoot, and letting me be a part of your life. I love any chance I am able to spend with you all and this was by far the most perfect way to spend one of my late summer afternoons.

Engagement, Portrait Photography, Miles & Abigail

Flashback to this couple's E-sessions earlier this year, whose wedding date is now quickly approaching...

When this weekend arrived for this couple's engagement session, our afternoon of choice was interrupted with heavy rains so we opted for an early morning shoot the morning before they headed back to North Carolina. With sparkling light, brilliant colors, heels, guitars, & serenades – complete with dances near the water’s edge, I couldn’t have been happier with the results of our time together. Miles and Abigail, you both look stunning together. Thanks for letting me capture all of this…and for so much more. I can't wait to celebrate with you both on your upcoming wedding day!!

Children, Portrait Photographer, Aubri

Do you remember what it was like to make a wish as a child, and never for one moment doubt if it would come true?

If we all could only get back to this place, a whole new whole would be opened to us, our excuses would vanish, and seemingly unattainable goals would soon be close within reach.

As an adult, I am all to aware that life closes in fast, demands are many, and excuses multiply quickly. Sometimes a break from one’s normal routine is just what is needed to see life in a fresh way, as was provided by the afternoon spent with this little lady – complete with a mini photo-session in celebration of her 7th birthday. Here are a few of my favorites from our time together…

May we all continue to reach for the dreams we treasured as children, see the world with limitless opportunities, and approach life with a new child-like enthusiasm...

Wedding, Richmond VA, Charles & Julia

Originally from Latvia, Julia has now made a new life and love here in the United States. A mutual friend of her and Charles introduced them to each other, and as they shared with me, “there was sparks right away.” A few years later they became husband and wife…saying their vows in Richmond’s beautiful Greek Orthodox Cathedral. What followed after the ceremony was beautiful fusion of families and cultures becoming one. There was a warmth to their entire day that I could not help but get caught up in as the day’s events unfolded.

Julia and Charles, I loved every moment of your wedding day. Thanks for inviting me to capture all of these moments and to be a part of the whirlwind of happenings throughout your day. Richmond will forever hold dear memories after our time together.
